Classroom Management Plan
Rules
Behavior and Rules:
Students are expected to come to class prepared.
Students are expected to behave according to the classroom rules and school policy.
Students will follow rules and requirements that they are expected to remember from the disclosure. These are: attend class regularly and come on time, come prepared with pencil and paper, and participate in class discussion and activities, complete assignments on time, behave in a manner befitting ladies and gentlemen and as long as you aren’t interfering with your own ability to learn, your classmates’ ability to learn, or my ability to teach, it is pretty safe to assume your behavior is acceptable.
Students are made aware of the policies at the beginning of the class year and follow the policy guidelines of the class and at the school.
As a teacher, I use honesty, behavioral modification strategies such as praising other students for their good behavior to divert attention away from bad behavior, diffusion strategies, humor, and plan engaging curriculums.
Communication of rules:
Students have received instruction of the rules at the beginning of the school year; however, it will be re-emphasized throughout the school year.
They receive instruction if they are not following the rules with private conferences if necessary either after class or in the hallway.
Also, if the behavior issue is widespread, students may receive general, explicit behavior instruction and modeling.
